The annual ProSource Companies Holiday Celebration was held at the beautiful Willow Fork Country Club this year. The festivities included an impressive buffet, open bar, games and dancing. This year about 85 contractors, clients and ProSource staff attended the party.

In this article, Jason Hiner of TechRepublic talks about the IT department of the future.
He predicts the IT department of 2015 will have fewer full-time staff members, will hire more consultants, and will focus on software, mobile, and the cloud. The oversized, centralized IT department of 2001 is a relic that’s never coming back and IT pros need to prepare for the decentralized IT reality of the future where companies are going to keep fewer IT pros on staff, hire more consultants, and focus their IT resources on software, the cloud, and mobile devices (which will eventually become fully functioning PCs).
He goes on to say that the future of IT is going to boil down to three types of jobs:
1) Consultants
2) Project managers
3) Developers

Clients, contractors and ProSource staff all got together for a night of fun at Dave and Busters. We had a Fajita buffet and full bar. Raffle winners received $50 Dave and Buster gift cards. SCADA Pipeline Migration Project

In May of 2011 Technical ProSource partnered with a Fortune 500 company, one of North America's premier natural gas infrastructure companies, to complete a migration to a new more reliable SCADA system. The company decided to move from using Televent Software to the more robust CygNet system and called on ProSource contractors to supply the skill and knowledge necessary for all aspects of the migration. Our team included Project Managers, Developers, Analysts, Testers and RTU Support Specialists. The first pipeline migration was completed successfully and the company is looking to ProSource for future pipeline migrations.
