When it comes to information technology staffing, National ProSource has found a way to help clients and workers.

The company's recruiters are skill-specific and each recruiter may specialize in three areas.  Therefore, when an IT employee is needed, the specific recruiter for a specific job knows where to turn to find the best person for the job.

"We are really unique in what we do and have found a niche in the industry," said Sal Rampelli, manager of operations for National ProSource.  "What we do is provide professionals to corporate America on a contract or full-time basis.  We find top talent in the area because our recruiters know what they are looking for."

National ProSource has been in the business for 12 years and has more than 100 clients.

"We have placed thousands in the Houston area.  Even with the economy like it is, the need for people is growing.  The candidate pool has expanded, giving employers more to choose from."

Rampelli said the screening process is longer since companies take a while to find the right person, not only with the right credentials and experience, but with the right communication skills.

Working only in the IT arena, the company was founded by former Oracle consultant John Davis.

"We do not have typical recruiters.  We have special recruiters who recruit for specific skills.  So, when we have a Java position open, our recruiter who specializes in Java knows what the client wants," Davis said.  "Our recruiters are experts in their specific arenas.  And the companies that utilize our services know that when they give us a position to fill, we give them two people and they have a hard time picking one."

Through seminars and workshops, National ProSource recruiters are always educating themselves in the areas of expertise and are kept up to date as to what is out there.

"Our people know what is hottest and they deliver the kind of employees that people want to hire." Rampelli said.
